Our story
On the site of an old house dating back to 1796 , as reported by an engraving on one of the roof beams (now used as a cairn for the north slope of the new building), a new one was built in 1904 by Anton Bieler, originally from Gressoney-la-Trinite and now a merchant in Switzerland.
He made it a farmhouse; the current “dollhouse” was used for milk processing; the new dining room was the stable for housing the livestock with the adjoining living quarters; on the upper floors were the bedrooms and the attic.
Around the 1950s, the first renovation into a hospitality facility took place; first the “Locanda Ida Bar” and later the “Cimavalle” guesthouse.
Then, albeit with nostalgia due to the memories of the summers spent up here, Heinrich Welf, Anton’s grandson, and his nieces Marie-Louise and Giovanna, decided to sell it and entrusted it to us with the sole recommendation that we love and live in this house again.
In keeping with this promise, since 2007 we have been doing our best to offer you, dear guests, the opportunity to spend some peaceful moments in this place where traditions and memories live on .
RUSTIC ENVIRONMENT
Anderbätt is a welcoming bed and breakfast located in Gressoney-La-Trinité, at the foot of the majestic Monte Rosa massif . We are close to the bus stop and 800 meters from the ski lifts of the Monterosa ski area, which in winter, with its 180 km of slopes, connects three valleys. In summer, it is the perfect starting point for reaching the easier, lower trails, as well as the imposing Gletscher and its numerous peaks reaching 4,000 meters. This way, you will have the opportunity to fully experience the mountains and their splendid landscapes, rich in diverse wild flora and inhabited by enchanting fauna.
With its five rooms featuring wood paneling and furniture beautifully complemented by the warm tones of the furnishings, Anderbätt offers an intimate, homely, and comfortable atmosphere typical of mountain homes. Our restaurant offers home-style cuisine that celebrates the flavors of the region, with all dishes prepared using seasonal ingredients and local produce. An ideal retreat for those seeking relaxation and authenticity immersed in the beauty of the Alps .

Our five rooms are comfortable and simply furnished: wooden walls and furniture, warm colors , and a few small details that will make you feel at home. They all have a bathroom with shower and hairdryer, satellite TV, internet access, and a private balcony.
HOME COOKING
We emphasize seasonal products and traditional local dishes, with a focus on quality and tradition. Our menu includes game dishes and a selection of local cheeses, for an authentic and genuine gastronomic experience.
